James Taylor Quartet

Back in the 1980s, JTQ were formed from the ashes of The Prisoners. Their funk-fueled organ-ised jazz performances rocked the world. Influenced heavily by Brother Jack McDuff, Charlie Earland and a stack of Prestige 10000 series LPs, nobody else was performing fiery instrumental Hammond jazz quite like it - it was later named ACID JAZZ. With awesome versions of 'Mission Impossible' & 'Starsky & Hutch' they were untouchable. Then in the early 90s they took on vocalists and they trod a new path. It was all a bit wrong.... BUT NOW THEY ARE BACK to the same formula that gave them the huge success and respect acquired 30 years ago! About time too we say. Grab this LP now!
